Our Treated
Wood
Wagons and Carts are burnt to
give them a rustic touch. No two items are alike using
this method. |
The Cedar Wagons are left
unfinished. Leaving
the wood bare gives you several options to suit your
decorating needs. The Cedar can be left as is, oiled, stained or painted. |
Please
keep in mind that there is always the
possibility that the black "char"
may rub off onto
clothing if rubbed up against. |
The pictures at
the top of the page are samples of
the Red Cedar after it has been treated
with Linseed
Oil. Note the dramatic change in color. Test an
inconspicuous area before completely sealing or
finishing your wood. |
All of our
shelves are made of pine. Due to this
fact, the shelves are not burnt
and will ship bare. |
Cedar naturally
comes in a wide variety of shades
and tones. Due to this fact, we
cannot guarantee
exactly what color your wagon will be. |
Treated
wood has arsenic and copper in it as part
of the treatment. If planting in treated
wood, we
HIGHLY recommend a Filter/Overflow Kit to
prevent arsenic from
leaching into soil. |
Red Cedar has a reddish/pink tone. The wood
ranges in color from light
(almost white) to
dark
russet with lighter toned "streaks". |
Treated wood is
your best choice for extended
outdoor use. |
The Red Cedar
Wagons are our most popular items. |
All of our
shelves are made of pine. We have
found that after time, they darken to
a color that
complements both types of cedar. |
